G'day from Sydney Empty
PostSubject: G'day from Sydney   G'day from Sydney Icon_minitime1Tue Feb 10, 2015 3:03 am

Just joined this august body today. So a big Good Day to you all.
By way of introduction I have an 06 GRiSO 850 which is a little gem. Bought her from a friend with 9000kms on the dial 18 months ago. We have now racked up another 14,000 trouble free kilometers together. I call her Dee Dee. In Sydney when the cops are short of a few dollars they have "Double Demerit" ( hence Dee Dee) points and fines days. On those holidays I leave my 1200 multistrada in the garage and ride my wonderful little naked. She hisses and roars, has a great pipe on her, and what do you know she is still within the speed limit-more or less.
I guess I don't have to tell you guys what a real delight they are to ride. No electricery, just you and the bike. I find her very rewarding and quite involved to ride.
My future plans with this bike are two fold, I will either keep her and sell the Multi for a new GS BMW 1200 or sell both bikes and get a 2015 GRiSO 1200. Been thrashing this around in my mind for several months now. The only hold back is the BMW. Do I really want to sell the Multi-she has been brilliant, to then buy a BMW-hmmmmm.
I also ride dirt bikes, mostly tight singe track stuff. For this I have a couple of Husky's.
I ride with a group of mates, several of whom ride guzzi's. Whilst only a recent convert I have to confess to a long standing appreciation of the aesthetics of the design, particularly the GRiSO and the le mans.
As a newby I know I will be more of a taker than a giver for a while. Please accept my apologies in advance for any dumb questions I will almost certainly raise.

Cheers and Thank you

Welcome GHTE.  I seem to recall another 850 in the ghetto, joined within about the last 6 months or so - also an Oz IIRC.

The 850's are fun. I think they'd be more fun if they were twin plugged like the Bellagio but they are still a GRiSO and therefore peerless. I have a couple of customers with 850's. I'm always glad to see them.
