Actually, you need to ride up to BC between I-5 and the coast. Especially in NorCal and Southern Oregon. The road from Gold Beach (Don't eat there) to Agness is nuts. Good camping and food to the north in Powers (might need slime or studded tires depending on conditions) or take Bear Camp Road to Grant's Pass (Yikes!) Bring gas, and don't forget your banjo...

There is no purpose for windshields in Richmond, transparent ones anyway.

I did ride the Coast from San Fran to Seattle once and it was a Very Good Ride. I almost trapped my self in the Lost Coast of Southern Washington. Don't go there without your banjo!!
