PostSubject: No Spark GRiSO 1100   Fri May 29, 2015 4:36 pm

Hi guys

My GRiSO won't go. I have replaced the battery with a fully charged new one. Switch on and all dash lights comes on as normal. Hit the start button and the starter turns over but the engine won't fire. The red triangle on the dash flashes up and so does SERVICE notification. No spark at the plugs. Fuses check out ok.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

John

What error codes are showing on the dash? Any? My guess would be phase sensor if everything else is working.

PS. If you don't know how to read the error codes it's simple. Put the LH toggle switch to 'Mode' and go to the 'Menu'. Scroll down until you come to 'Diagnostics' hold the button and it will ask for the code, (Displayed under the banner of the forum. 12425.) hold the button down and another menu will appear. Scroll down to ECU errors and hold the button down. Note any codes with an X next to them. A quick press of the button will take you to the next tranche of codes, there are about three tranches. Then hold the button down to retreat to the previous menu and select 'Dashboard errors'. Once again note any that have an X next to them but with dash errors you'll see both 'Active' and 'Stored' or 'Memorised' errors.

You can then go back out to the previous menu and select 'Clear errors'. Hold the button down and it will give you a 'Yes', 'No' option. Choose 'Yes' and hold the button down. Now go back and re-check the ECU and Dashboard errors and see which ones are still active. Give us a number and someone, (Probably not me because I'm not working off my laptop right now.) will be able to tell you what any active code is. As I said, my guess is phase sensor.

Pete

I'm still thinking phase sensor........ If not that it may be ECU but then I'd expect the ECU 'Disconnected' icon on the dash. Thing is if there is a 'Service' warning it has to have been triggered by something and that 'Should' throw a code. Odd.

Check your ECU pins. Pull the fuses first.
