Thank you for posting this image.

Interesting, but the California is still a long wheelbased cruiser. Here in Europe are many Guzzi-maniacs waiting for pure driving machine like the Le Mans 1 or a new GRiSO with ABS.

As someone who has owned both there is no comparison. If the GRiSO is a barge the Cali14 is a battleship!

I think that there are people the world over who would like to see a 'Nuovo LeMans', sadly Piaggio seems oblivious to the need. As for ABS on the GRiSO? I still maintain its essentially impossible on the current platform as there is nowhere for the pump.

GRiSO/ABS to some is a difficult task due to space-dimensional constraints.

I observe the large design and engineering advance in the Piaggio/Moto Guzzi Team in their Tuono and California and conclude the Team saved their talents to show in a new GRiSO.

What other product could better demonstrate such a deep literary-strength heritage?

Dreamers keep dreaming.

I reckon Aprilia is the loved one of Piaggio. Want a go fast horsepower monster? RSV4 or Tuono, thanks.
The whiners (not on this site) who bitch at Guzzi for the loss of the ~850 sized 2V big block have their heads up their collective arses. Forget it, the old big block is dead. Long live the 8V! And for fucks sake, make me joyful beyond dreams, stop asking for a small block with more power. Not. Going. To. Happen.

There will never be a short wheel based LM without a new gearbox/motor or new type of rear wheel drive. The current CARC won't allow it.

ABS is inevitable because of the new Euro requirements. Where to put it on a GRiSO? I've my own ideas. If Guzzi have a different idea it may mean the end of the current GRiSO design. Will there be a be new GRiSO or an 8V Le Mans? Nobody out there on the interwebs knows, despite how clever their hype or wordsmithing is. Forget it! Piaggio ain't saying.

And that bloody superimposed image of the GRiSO and Cali 14? Why the fuck would you do that? To what end? A comparo of the two? WTF? You may as well compare a bar of chocolate to a fish and bitch that they don't taste the same.

End.

As a non GRiSO owner I would like to say, there is another Guzzi forum that is becoming dedicated to the 1400 Cali. My impression is that many owners sound like confused and lost Harley riders.
I'm happy with my dunger 2v 940, but am envious of The Saints 80 lbs/ft torque 8V, only way up for me (when I'm no longer happy) is a Bellagio heart transplant or start cutting up a new GRiSO.

I would rather see the above photo ghosting images laying a GRiSO over the top of a Mk111 Le Mans, just my personal preference for a small & low, short wheelbase (?), light weight, big block based Guzzi.

Even if you get the best torque possible from the 940, you may never be happy after riding a properly mapped 1200 8V. Physics wins every time. Twisted Evil

Today I went for a flog over to Gunning, (Was going to head to the coast but as soon as I got over the first hill I disappeared in thick fog. Needless to say none of the people with automatic headlights could remember to turn them on. Too dangerous, I went to Gunning!) it occured to me that I'd been told to remove the snorkel from my airbox a while back so I did.

Noticeably more pep in the midrange, not earth shattering, but noticeable and smoother throughout.

Checked tyre pressures too yesterday as it was feeling heavy at the front. Front was at 26 psi, rear at 32! No wonder it felt like a barge! I usually run 37 front and 39 rear in winter, 38 front and 40 rear in summer. Obviously the pressure increases more when warmed up in summer rather than winter.
