Going through the usual drill on my newly acquired G11.  Set the tappets, synched the TBs, new map, reset TPS and went for a ride.  All systems go except the idle is down around 1K cold or hot.  My G12 ticked over at 1100 rain or shine and the G11 seems like it would prefer a bit more.  Adjust the CO perhaps?

At 8K the factory paint was still on the throttle balance screw.  I wonder how much the Ducati shop was charging the PO for a "tune up"?

1100 idle spec is 1100 +/-100. 1000 RPM idle is OK.

BTW, there is no way to adjust the idle mechanically. Idle is controlled by the ECU via the stepper.

Thanks, I have been attempting to adjust it telepathically but without much success. What is your feeling on CO adjustment generally. I never did it on my previous bike.

The CO adjustment feature is an excellent thing. It can be a great way to fix a rough or high/low idle, but one needs to consider that what it actually changes is the pulse-width across the entire rev range. IMO if you need to go more than +/-5 for a better ride, then the map needs tweaking. If you have to go more than +/-10, then you need a new map entirely. For idle, +/-3 should be more than sufficient. If your idle is smooth and the ride is good, but you feel a slightly higher idle RPM would be nice, there are ways to diddle the map to get it to idle where you want.
