Hi Tony
Now, now, don't spit the dummy, there are lots of us over this average.
One thing, we have reached these dizzy heights, the others have to catch us.
Keep smilin

Another 1957 vintage here. Having ridden since -73 I used to ride japs, I guess they could be labeled as sport-tourers, 1972 CB 750 included. By the turn of a new millenia I bought myself a LM I -78 and then there's been no turning back.

After some eight years with a V11 Rosso Mandello, it was time to change for something newer. I pondered of a KTM 990 SMT or even a KTM Adventure 1190 because the tarmac byroads in Finland are getting bumpier every year by lack of maintenance but I just could not see myself astride a big enduro. They may be sensible but they lack appeal and soul. When have you looked at a GS rolling by and thought ' WAU, what a beast'? I thought as much.

A Norge? Too BMW RTish. Best of the travel sofas, anyway. Breva? Well, after a LM I and V11, ugly as hell. GRiSO was just the ticket for the adolescent rebel still lurking somewhere deep inside me. It has the looks and it has the soul and it is a joy thrashing around in small curvy roads. It simply got the fire burning inside again!

I'm right in with the crowd at 56. It looks like I have a while before I age-out though!

They say 70 is the new 50 ...

If that's the case, I'm almost 50!

Did my 50th HS reunion a year ago. Do the math.

I love the GRiSO, and describe it as "the old man's sportbike." All the whoopee I need - any more would get me arrested or killed. I rode a friend's Yamaha liter bike recently - way more thrills than I need - I really appreciate a bike that keeps both wheels on the ground when I twist the fun knob to 9.

I rode Hondas in college, crashed one and then discovered sailboats and didn't get back into riding until I sold the last sailboat ten years ago. Since then, I've had two Guzzis - a Cali Stone and the G - and a Honda ST1300. The Honda was an awesome road machine with no soul. When there was only room for one bike, the G was obviously the keeper.

Still have a boat - haven't been without one since 1971 - can't see that ending anytime soon either. Cool

I thought at 42 I bought this bike as a sign of my mid-life crisis - a cheaper option to a Porsche or Maserati.

I turned 50 this year, hence my appropriate birthday present from my wife "GRI5O", although next year it will be out of date and "GRI51" doesn't have the same appeal

had my GRiSO 1200 since new in 2010 and now 40. At the time, it was an upgrade from an unfaired '07 Yamaha FZ1, which had a whole lot of poke, but little soul.
Have been through two rounds of tappet kit replacement before 6000 miles were on the clock, but now fully rollerised and she runs better than ever. Was thinking of trading her in for one of the last 2016 GRiSO off the line, but couldn't do it.

Turned 56 last month. Swapped to my 2015 GRiSO from a Ninja 1000 to slow down a bit but mostly I needed badly to scratch the GRiSO itch I have had since 2010.

I'm 43, I bought my 1st GRiSO 1100 7 years at the age of 36, after a few years I thought it was a bit heavy and slow, 1 MV and 1 Ducati later and I'm back and planning on keeping it forever (unless MG do a really good replacement)

Hi all and Happy New Year!
Been away from here, exploring and buying other bikes. Not to worry, I still have the '12 GRiSO.
I figure at 66, it's best to scratch the itch while I can. Latest bikes are a Victory Judge and a '02 Harley Road King (already up for sale).
I test road a BMW S1000r a few weeks ago, more power than an old guy needs, but DAMN fun.
Later compadres!

Born 1954. In Singapore.

Always wanted a GRiSO and now I have one. Previous bike was a Honda Blackbird-a superb long distance commuter but not so hot around town. Once I stopped the 400 mile a day commute, I no longer needed the Bird. And the GRiSO came to stay.

I also have a liking for titchy bikes. The current one is a Suzuki TU250X which I've rebuilt and spent too much on. The plan is to sell the 250 and buy a Moto Morini 31/2. Though I suspect yet another Velosolex will arrive at some point...
