Hello all,

Jacquie and I will be participating in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride this year to raise money for Prostate Cancer research. If you are so inclined, you can sponsor either (or both) of us from these links.

Because they want you to ride a vintage or classic bike, rather than the GRiSO, Jacquie will be riding her 79 V1000 Cafe and I will be on my '70 Ambo.

Thanks,

Doug

I looked into it too. Unfortunately I have committed to doing Stay Upright rider training day on the same date and they only come to Tassie once a year (if not at all).

I went to the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride website to see the details of the local ride but found it incredibly frustrating that you have to register for the event with all your details including your bike, date of birth, email, phone number, full address and even your motorcycling philosophy.....just to find out.

Anyway I hope you enjoy the day and it is for a good cause.

I agree with Scot, plus I don't have another bike to choose from - so for me it's the GRiSO or it's nothing.

Cheers Taz

I'll be doing the DC ride again I think. While I liked it last year (year before?) when they went big-time on making it a charity event, I was a little non-plussed by the site / "guidelines" that had crept in.
Just look on the local boards to see where folks are meeting up and just show up on the GRiSO. At least in DC all those involved were a nice bunch, with few weenies. Well dressed too. Wink
