Looks like a new, bigger engine with horizontal split crank case??

Crank case has not changed I see now, I'm not so familiar with the lighter Guzzi engines..

Another twin shock shitter designed to appeal to knob-jockeys caught in a fucking time warp.

At least the engine looks like it might of progressed to some sort of version of the Hi-cam. That is, hopefully, a step in the right direction. The last thing Guzzi needs to be lumbered with is some ghastly 'Cruiser' market targeted, fat tyred, hipstermobile!

I part my cheeks and fart in its general direction! It will probably be bought by members of the Nevada owning classes, (Shudder!)

They will probably keep it at the lousy 35kw, big market in Europe for young bikers (A2 - max 35kw)

Category A2 (medium motorcycles up to 35kW)
Category A2 covers medium sized motorcycles, with or without a sidecar, which have:

an engine power output up to 35kW
a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0.2kW/kg - the motorcycle must not be derived from a machine of more than double its power
The minimum age for A2 is 19 years.

There are two routes to get this motorcycle entitlement:

Progressive Access (also known as ‘staged access’) – you can obtain entitlement to category A2 from age 19, provided you have a minimum of two years' experience on the lower motorcycle category (category A1) and pass the relevant motorcycle tests; the period of two years will commence from the date you receive full licence entitlement for the lower category
Direct Access – you must be aged 19 years or over, hold a valid CBT certificate and pass the theory and practical category A2 motorcycle tests

We have no such system here in the States, Klaas, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your point of view. Here, any moron with a credit card can buy a Jixxer, or a Busa, or whatever he wants without even showing proof of license. It's pretty insane really, but here we also like to see nature take its course...

Well, I'm not at all a fan of the big front tire, or the shape of the gas tank, but I hope you're right in that new engine indicates a variation of the hi-cam setup with a more modern cylinder head!

Hopefully they'll at least optionally have a little more power for those who don't need the tiered license requirements.

The only reason I suggest it might be a hi-cam is that the rocker boxes appear taller. The plug is still in much the same position. It might simply be an update to 'Chuck' spec and have a version of the drone motor in it.

Fat tyres, forward controls, less than 3" suspension travel.
Yep, as big a piece of shit as an 883 Sportster.

Years ago I copped crap off my mates for riding too fast on my twin shock shitter (Cali Stone).
One day I swapped rides for a Honda 750 Shadow, complete with fashionable balloon front tyre.
An hour later I caught up with Bob, surrounded by cigarette butts. He commented about the sweet ride.
I was totally stuffed from an hour of mud wrestling a fat pig around every corner at walking pace.

They can jam their cruiser fashion up their collective fat arses. I wanna bike I can ride!

It may just be the colors, but it looks to me like the header pipes are larger diameter, and perhaps the cylinders/heads themselves are a little bigger? Maybe indicating a bump in displacement? Going up to 850 or 900 cc might be the 'cheap' way for Guzzi to get more power out of the small block engine instead of redesigning the heads? Who knows, but it'll be interesting to see the development.

Looks like a custom horror to me. Can't see Guzzi slapping something like that together for test purposes but wtfdik.

I think the valve covers and the headers appear as bigger because they have milled the rectangular cooling ribs down to a rounder form.

I fucking hope not! The extra finning was vital for the single TB V7, if they have magically upped its power output, unless they've oil cooled it, it will need a shitload more finning, not less.
