How to her a Mapping for 1200 8V

Hey there

I am desperately looking for a Mapping to get rid of this Bad Motor Running up to 4000 rpm - new in this Forum, new with the GRiSO .

Welcome to the ghetto.

Firstly you need to familiarise yourself with the Guzzidiag suite of tools. Then tell us what, if any, modifications you have made to your bike that may affect its running, then you have to tune it properly. We also need to know if it is a flat tappet or roller tappet machine.

After this we can almost certainly send you a decent map.

Thank You for the quick answer. My GRiSO 1200 8v is from February 2015, no modifications, Original exhaust. Luckyly there is a GRiSO driver with guzzi diag nearby who will assist. OK, I don't think Mark has had time to modify the 'Stock' map for roller top end yet so that may be a few weeks away. Stay tuned.

Also: Adjust the throttle cables to get all the slack out. This helped my bike a lot.
Set the valves, balance throttle bodies and reset TPS

Petes not kidding when he says a tune up is important.

Hm, you mean it gets better? I've been running Mark's stock map on my 2014 for almost a year and 3000miles now without related issue. Thumbs Up

While the problems I've had with my bike are most likely because there is something quite badly amiss in my engine there are differences in how the flat and roller cams make the engine breathe. So yes, it will get better but not radically better like the change from stock to a proper open loop map.

Yes, it'll be a few weeks. Lots to do. Termi is on GRiSO now, then I'll be making a map for Charlie. The good news is we'll have an Agostini map at the end. Then the stock pipe map update.

The flat map should work for Manfred in the interim, if he wants to try it. Usual caveats apply.

The flat map works very well on my 2013 roller motor. I only experience a slight softness in acceleration at about 2,000 rpms with CO set to +3. Everything else is excellent.

New Map sucessfully installed - The engine runs very well, soft and powerfull - from 2500 to 3000 rpm, a Little bit indecisive.
