GRiSO Mirrors

Having seen Bills article on conspicuity lights coupled with almost being knocked off by a dozy blonde twunt in a Nissan Micra, I'm thinking of adding some extra lighting to my G11. Wandering around the bike, looking for a suitable place to mount some small LED lights, it occured to me that I could fit them in the mirror housings facing to the front.
Do any of you lot know whether the mirror stalk is hollow? It would make for a nice installation if I could hide the wiring inside the stalks and through the holes in the bottom of the mounts on the clutch/brake reservoirs.
I would go and have a look myself, but I'm a lazy git!!

So, I took a mirror off the stalk, it seems to be solid, so I need to try plan B.
