Vacuum ports connections Empty
PostSubject: Vacuum ports connections   Vacuum ports connections Icon_minitime1Tue Jun 07, 2016 4:12 pm

Question : on my 2012 Tenni the vapour recycler has been taken out. I noticed that the left and right vacuum ports on the TB are connected together. See pics.
Should they? I have seen write ups about synching the TB that mentions the vacuum ports as being screwed shut.
Thanks.

I think you are confusing the vacuum ports with the air bleeds.

I don't think they should be connected together. It kind of negates the whole idea of balance.

Yah, it's a simplistic solution but a commonly used one and it doesn't seem to cause any issues.

That is a 30 year old Yamaha design, link the inlets together by hose.

Agree it didn't seem to cause any problems but seems counterintuitive that's why the air bleed valves are adjusted for balancing the idle speed
