Hi All new to the forum, have a Tenni SE had it since new 2010 loved every minute of it also have Suzuki Rg500 , RD350 LC, Ducati M900,Ducati 916 and a little Suzuki TC100. Great forum been reading it constant for days. Just returned from the TT with my GRiSO, been taking it every year since new. Just starting to get a little concerned over the cam problems but the bike has never let me down apart from the little things such as a slow puncture on the front wheel which never goes away, air must be leaking from spokes and it occasionally blows fuses when trying to start but are these things not just part of owning a Guzzi ?.
I'm sure I will be picking some brains in the future. Will post pictures as soon as I figure it out.

It will need rollerising, sorry but that's the end of the matter. The sooner the better. How many miles on it?

Hi,sorry its got 10000 miles on it,had first service from MG dealer then serviced regularly by myself with all oils changed every 1500 - 2000 miles max.
what would be the procedure for replacing cams, followers as I'm a little confused over the different kits that are spoke about, also if piaggio refuse to supply parts how much are they and where do you get them, thanks.

Perhaps we can get a sticky stuck up for this as its a commonly recurring question.

The main thing for you though is to take the tank off and look at the sides of the heads that face into the valley of the 'V'. If there are drill marks in the paint it's a late 2010 build and you will only need the 'B' kit that doesn't require head removal for spring shimming. If there are no drill marks in the paint then you will need a 'C' kit.

As for what is involved I did a photoessay here.

But pretty soon I intend to do a video of the whole process from beginning to end but I intend to set this up as a 'Pay to watch' sort of thing because I'm getting a bit sick of giving knowledge away for free as I have a retirement to plan.

Thanks Pete, i have read it and its very good.
I will plan to have a look as soon as possible but i think it might be an early model as i bought the bike at the start of 2010.
And so you should charge to view as in my opinion it would be well worth it.

If you bought it at the beginning of 2010 it will be a 2009 build. 'C' kit.

Welcome!

On the slow leak I had the same problem after hitting a fairly substantial pothole at speed. Called Wayne (I always call Wayne!) and he told me what to do. I soaped the rim until I found the bugger that was leaking and marked it with a wire tie. Backed off the spoke then re-tightened until I didn't see any more bubbles. Last parts order I added a couple of the o rings and a couple of the retaining clips so that when I get the tire replaced I can get them all checked out.

Thanks for all the replies, I'm in sunny Scotland, well its sunny once or twice a year.
starting to get depressed with my GRiSO but it still runs great, why cant piaggio just have done a recall on the cams, if it was a Japanese manufacturer it would have been resolved.
I think ill stick to two strokes, who needs cams and valves anyway.
