Well, I've started to install the correct (I hope) "A" roller tappet kit on my 2012 GRiSO. I have a question about the long and short tubes, as they are called, and when and where they are to be used on what head design. My 2012 looks to have the "short" tubes in the original flat tappet block. The kit does not seem to include new tubes, just the o rings for the assembly. So I assume I need to pull the old tubes out of the flat tappet block and transfer them to the new assembly? For the life of me, I can't get the old tube out of the tappet block to move over to the new one. I've tugged and pulled, but it won't budge. I don't want to grab it with pliers for fear of damage or distorting the shape. Any ideas?

I just re-read Pete's explanation of the tube length in my first "Fine Mess" post. So I'm clear on the two types of tubes, but still need a way to pull the short tube out of my old tappet block without damage. Would have been nice if Piaggio would have included them in the kit.

I'll try the heat gun method. Should help.

Heat gun would be my first suggestion, or put the whole cambox into a very hot oven for half an hour. The tubes are steel, the cambox is alloy.

The new o-rings have to be installed in the new cambox prior to installation.

What happened to the other kit? I'll buy it if your price is reasonable. All I need is the complete camboxes and the hemispherical pads. I've got lots of all the other bits.
