pinging and the art of TB balancing

Hi,
I I posts I read that poor TB balance can cause pinging.
I usually get the TBs of my B11 balanced at 3750, but still get some light pinging under load, between 4200 and 4600.

I was wondering, balancing at at different rpm would eliminate the pinging?

3000 to 4000 is quite a wide range. How do we choose the optimal rpm for balance?

Voulga - a decent map will sort the pinging. While balanced throttle bodies are key to a good running engine, a decent map in the ECU will make it sing without pinging - unless you have really crappy fuel in Athens?

Yeah, you can get some really crappy fuel sometimes in Athens Very Happy
