I have been looking at an 1100 for sale in UK, it has a black frame which I have never seen before on this model. Was this ever an option, or has it been painted at some point, owner says it looks like original finish?

The 850's came with a black frame. Is it possible that it had its frame replaced or alternatively it's an 850 with an 1100 engine swap?
