Fork Seals Empty
PostSubject: Fork Seals   Fork Seals Icon_minitime1Thu Jan 13, 2022 4:47 pm

Am looking to do the headrace bearings, bike is supported, wheels are off, tomorrow should see headrace bearings greased.
I gave that silver nut thing with holes a quick crack to ensure could remove it with ease, sprayed it with pentrating lube some weeks ago.
With the forks due a service, the opportunity to replace the springs for something more suitable arises and sort that valving poor mans style  Laughing
Am thinking might as well do fork seals and dust caps.
Gutsibits is taking the piss £18 each seal £29 each dust seal Shocked
So whats the difference between a 2007 -2008 1200 8v 43mm fork, and a 2009 -2010 1200 8v 43mm fork.
Its almost like vendors dont want to list the years 2009 -2010 like some calamity took place, the Tenni Green happened I suppose you could call that a calamity.

My GRiSO is a 2010 and I got the fork seals and dust covers at AF1 Racing. They were about $6 each. They had the parts in stock and I got them in 3 or 4 days.
