more GRiSO grease Empty
PostSubject: more GRiSO grease   more GRiSO grease Icon_minitime1Mon Mar 16, 2015 9:36 am

I posted up on the WG what I found when checking for the presence of grease on my 2013 in the steering head, swing arm, and linkage.  Basically, all had some grease and I added more.  I had a couple of other thoughts I figured I'd post up here.

While I had the side plates off which hold the shift and brake levers, I pulled those off to find no grease on those bearing surfaces. As long as you have those side plates off to check the swing arm, it would seem worthwhile to grease those controls while you are about it.

Secondly, I removed the plastic covers around the frame tube in case I needed to use that structure to lift or support the bike (though I have a Becker-Technik stand).  I don't think it looks any worse without that piece of plastic and maybe better.
cheers,
tod
