| I was on the moto guzzi uk site checking out the V7 II and had a look at the GRiSO while I was there. Now when you look at it, it only shows the black devil paint color. But as we all know, this year it's the red devil color (or whatever they are calling it). When I clicked on the technical data sheet for the GRiSO, it showed the color as being verde tenni (green).
Could this signal the return of the tenni green paint color? Does someone out there know what may lie ahead for the beloved GRiSO? All I have heard lately has said the GRiSO will be discontinued after the 2016 model year. However, a man who works for piaggio america seems to think that the GRiSO will not be going away (the one I spoke with when I called him for another matter).
What say you guys? Thoughts?

| Nope. The GRiSO stays... with ABS for those who care. While at Bike Week this year, Guzzi had demo rides organized by the Importer located in NY City. They said that Piaggio will continue producing the GRiSO but the New York guys wouldn't tell me where on the bike, is the factory going to mount that ABS pump as there is no room on the bike to fit it. They'll have to re-design something... Anyways, it stays for now... | |

| I do hope that they make a "standard" version with the cast wheels and a different color paint (maybe the mercury grey from the california). Keep the black frame too! | |

| I'd like to see different colors as well and not necessarily low gloss stuff. Cast wheels a norm and spoke an option... | |

| Did someone say 'ABS'? There's plenty of room beneath the passenger seat to mold a bulge in the wheel housing for the pump. | |

No, you need that for the flux capacitor. You won't be able to get up to 88 mph without it.

| Living where I do I really like the gigawatt alternator. It happily powers my heated gear in winter!
As for the under-seat idea? Sorry, the rear wheel comes very close to the 'Fender' already at full compression. You can't just put a 'Bulge' in there. It would be a lousy place for a pump anyway. If possible you want t low and forward.

I was thinking they could mount the abs pump just below the steering head. I haven't had a real close look at that area, so maybe it wouldn't work. How big is a abs pump anyways? For just 2 wheels it couldn't possibly be that big.

| Find a pic of something like a Capponord and look at tbe front of the engine just beni d the front wheel. Thats the pump location. How big is it? About 5 inches by 5 by 5.

| Here's a thought from a cosmetic standpoint: keep the black frame, do the same color blue as the new stelvio and new design cast wheels. What do ya think?
I did check out a few photos of the caponord and that is a chunky looking abs pump. Maybe my idea of putting it up under the steering head wouldn't work after all.

| Under the steering head there is the ECU and the alternator. Not even the huge Huntsman spiders that infest my bikes at this time of year like to try and fit in there!

| I still maintain if they do it in the same blue color as the stelvio with cast wheels, i'd be willing to part with one of my kidneys for it. | |

| Hey Pete (Street), one of the Italian mobs did that scheme some years ago, called it the Kattiva if I remember correctly.
I'll see if I can find some photos. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special

| Found it. It was the folks from Millepercento. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]They've done a whole bunch of customized GRiSOs. You can see them at this link. | Give me a blue or grey GRiSO with the black frame and cast wheels.
In another thread on this site, there was a member who was at daytona bike week and had chatted with the piaggio folks. One of the ideas that was brought up was make it a single throttle body, redesign the air box and put the abs pump there. That seems to make good sense.

| Looking at some of the customised GRiSOs on that site (Millipercento), I got to thinking (always, ALWAYS dangerous). Some of them had 2-1-2 exhaust setup. Now with a pair of same styled mufflers, but different lengths, one could get some exhaust tuning where one muffler is dominant (length-wise) at low/medium revs, and the other dominant at higher RPM.
Call me crazy, BUT, it would work - a right royal prick to tune though...
