He never rode a GRiSO, but I'm sad today that the King of the Blues, B.B. King has passed away and grateful that we had a chance to see him here last year. Rest in peace B.B.

Saw him some years ago at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Thankful for that.

RIP

The King of the Blues

Before my first Jazz Fest, but how cool would this have been...

I got to see him in 1989. He was at a show in Melbourne called the Legends of Rock, with Leslie Gore Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry. Best thing was, the tickets were free from Toyota.

I think they should bury Lucille with him.

Saw him at Chino Prison in '71. Traded a guy my Triumph for his camera for the day so I could pretend to be a photographer. Had no clue how to work the camera. Copied this off my backwards printed proof sheet. Laughing

I was fortunate enough to see him 3 times over the years. What an amazing talent and innovator. He was the first to make the Blues sound really pretty.

Stevie Ray early departure was a real shame.
Only white dude that could play the blues like a black man.
BB King was a legend but he played the same riffs over and over... yawn.
