Wow, i am glad, I finally found you. My name is Thorsten, I was born 1963, drive Guzzi since 1999. When I did a test drive with a Moto Guzzi California EV I fell in love from the very first moment. The stroke of the engine hit me hard. Before I used to drive Yamaha SR500, XJ 650 and a BMW R80R (worst bike I had). I drove 80.000km with the California visiting a lot af countries in Europe. No problems. The a friend of min gave me his V11 LeMand for a ride... I really wandet this bike so bad... and I bought one in black colour. On a motocycle exhibition in Dortmund/Germany I saw the GRiSO as concept vehicle. And I knew... this will be my bike soon. Well.... it took a while till Guzzi managed it to launch this modell.

But then I got the chance to drive one and changed it against the V11. I changed some things... mounted a BOS Exhaust system with a special adapter made of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Unfortunately i had to sell this bike. But since last year I got a GRiSO again. Black, 1100ccm and bought her with 2000km - now 9000km. Changes: airbox opened, power commander, adapter to raise the bar 20mm... yesterday I mounted a Zard muffler.

I live in the western part of Germany not far away from Cologne, Nürburgring, the famous race track is an hour to drive to. I work in Trier, near the border of Luxemburg during the week as public relations office in an American company. Every year I go to Italy to visit sacred ground: Mandello del Lario. I am one of the founder of "Moto-Guzzi-Forum" a German speaking Guzzi-Forum.

I do my maintance in my garage. For traveling with my wife I bought a Stelvio NTX, MY 2015.

Yeah, this is Guzzi Heaven indeed. But I went through Guzzi-Hell too with my last California EV, my first V11 LeMans (replaced nearly verything) or my LeMans II.

Well that is difficult, because the BOS System came with a power-commander. Compared to the Zard, the BOS-Double-Cans sound much more agressive. And there is a strong increase of torque and horsepower too.

It does look like there is an increase in torque. Oddly, the top chart looks similar to an R NineT / GRiSO curve which I have seen online or in a mag review at some point recently and the beemer also has a dual separate can exhaust... No clue if that makes the diff. for the BMW though, just saying fwiw. )

I like to point out, that this charts were published by Daes Mototec. It was done with a GRiSO 1100. The effect might be not the same using the Double-BOS-Mufflers on a GRiSO 850 or an GRiSO 1200 8V.

When driving you really feel the difference of the increased torque. Top-Speed raised to 10 km/h.

Hy Thorsten, kind of neighbours then..i'm from Luxembourg...it's a small world so maybe we will meet some day on the roads along the "Mosel" ....as it seems you are already seriously into Guzzisti scene, so i will for sure come back to you for some tips&tricks in the greater region...ciao, äddi, tschüss, Alain (who normally should be on a short trip to Mandello this week but had to cancel for various reasons :-(
