Sorry if this has been posted before. It is one of the best GRiSO soundtrack videos I have seen and heard:

The GRiSO does ask for a good workout............and lotsa berries Very Happy Still I guess it makes a change to hear the bike and gearbox without so much wind noise taking over.

I'd be keen to hear how me miked it, and what kind of mic he's using- seems very good fidelity. Looked at one youtube video of a sport biker who explained how he miked his ride, and it was pretty involved.

Speaking of a nice sound check, pardon if you've already heard this early 70's V7 Sport (modified). The owner who you see in the video is apparently a restaurant owner right there in Mandelo de Lario.  Sounds really healthy! According to a commenter this example was unfortunately later stolen from its owner- dickhead!

Yes.
He is carrying his energy all wrong.
I tried to find out what exhaust he had but I didn't see any mention.

Hello;

it´s the original exhaust. The sound was miked with a ZOOM H4N Recorder and the Sennheiser ME 2 EW mikrofon. The mike was mounted underneath the seat directly upon the rearwheel.

The full test can be seen here:

Kind regards from Germany

Sven

Speaking of sound...perhaps you all can help me understand if what I am hearing is the typical "cacophony" that folks refer to. I have no doubt that the bike which I just bought was carefully inspected by Jim at RFC and he did the 600 mi. service with only 400 mi on the clock but since I am new to the MG's I just need you all to ease my concern here. I always ride with earplugs and my only other bike experience comes from my 06 Honda 599 so I may just be inexperienced but when I ride it sounds like there are a pair of maracas having a seizure underneath the cylinder covers (I think that's what they are called). At any rate, I'm guessing it's the normal sound and that I'm just not used to that sound coming from the Honda but being a new bike I guess I'm just a little paranoid. Also, is it normal for these motors to "clunk" into 1st from neutral? It seems like a pretty heavy/hard move from N to 1st? Again, might be totally normal and I'm just not used to the bike yet. Thanks in advance.

Yes the engine is noisy compared to a water cooled DOHC multi. Yes, engagng first, especially when new, sounds like dropping a brick in a bucket!

Thanks Pete! That's kind of what I was figuring but it's nice to have a feedback from folks such as yourself to put my overly obsessive and occasionally paranoid mind at ease. I appreciate the feedback!

DangWangi,
congrats on the new ride!
next time shifting from neutral into first, hold the clutch for a count of three or four, before stepping on the lever.
she should engage with a 'snick', and not the 'superbike clunk' of yesteryear...
