| Sorry to hear about your mishap, Pascal. I hope you already have, but get yourself checked out. I busted some ribs and didn't know I'd also ruptured my spleen until I was almost empty. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]“Danger + Survival = Fun.” - Neil Peart[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| Thanks guys... I'm 0 for 4 in that fucked up State! Too many Foreigners that have no clues about how to drive because of the shit hole Countries they're coming from... This time an Haitian cunt decided to join these assholes. If any of you are offended by my comments well, fuck you and the horse you rode in on because it's the plain truth.
Totaled two cars due to stop light running. Wrecked my 70 Cougar pretty bad to a douche that didn't know what a stop sign was. I'm still fixing that car... Now a lying bitch decided to cut 6 lanes of traffic just for fun it seems. I drive a 2001 F150 and I never had even a close call with it, geez I wonder why. lol And it's a good thing because I don't plan to necessarily avoid the first asshole that will cut me off while I'm driving in that thing...

I do have eyes on a Raptor eventually but they're out of reach in the US. A decent used one goes for the retail price you had to pay when the truck was new just about.

Guys, as I am one of those "assholes" that came to live in a new country, I find this unnecessary rude. Can we not just talk about Grisos on this forum, and keep our opinion about immigrants for ourselves? That is just a matter of courtesy to fellow GRiSO-owners. Thanks!

| Awwwhhh, sorry Pincess...did we hurt your feelings now? I myself, am an immigrant to the US. 'bout them apples eh? Besides, we're not talking about ALL immigrants so practice your English some more... Lastly, if you have nothing interesting to add to my thread here, simply GTFO! Edit: It's actually not my thread but same difference. lol

Not sure about that as I know some tough natives but being 5.7 and 165/170 lbs helps cope with impact. Less mass to collapse etc... a big dude would have broken his collar bone on this one I bet. I was wearing a bagpack with a half gallon cooler in it and that thing hurt my ribs during the tumble, it cracked instead of said ribs so glad it happened that way. It hurts like a mofo when I need to take a deep breath as my rib cage expend and disturb a bunch of bruised nerves in there. The shoulder isn't giving me much pain and it took the first impact, weird...

| Just a quick update. The wife took it upon herself to purchase a new 2014 GRiSO for me. It was left over new stock (1-mile on the odometer) that the dealer slashed to $2k below MSRP. Haulbikes has been contracted and it should be delivered in a month or so. Time to start buying mods. The departed beastie had Pazzo levers, CF hugger, and tail tidy. Not to mention a beetle tune and properly balanced throttle bodies. | |

| Northernproducer: RPM Cycle in greater Dallas. I think they may one more 2014 in stock.
rboe: No, I sent the farkles with the old bike thinking it was going to be repaired. Insurance actually credited me for those, so I'm not too sad.

| When my bike was totaled I went back and pulled the saddle bag mounts (Eclipse soft bags, plumbers tape with buckles so not high tech). Well you should get the bike when the weather warms up a bit! | |

| Still waiting... Haulbikes picked it up on 12/28 and estimated delivery 3-weeks later (which would make it next Monday 1/18), but as of today the bike is still in Milwaukee. They prefer to send their trucks out full ... hopefully it'll be on the road soon. | |

| My wreck happened on December 7th and I still haven't talked to anyone at Liberty Mutual about how to process that claim. I know from another office that they estimated the bike being a total loss but I told them a while back that if it comes to that, I want to contract it and repair the bike as it's only cosmetic. The top thin of the RH head is slightly scratched and I know it's the culprit form them since they wrote for replacing that head and with labor and all. it puts the damage repair over the 70% threshold of the value of the bike. I don't know how much a 2013 GRiSO with 12000 miles on it is worth, but if I can't get about $10.000 for it then I rather contract it for whatever the higher Dollar amount is before that 70% threshold. I already have all the parts except for the oil cooler housing...I'll figure something out about the CARC as I'm not replacing it. If I don't get anything concrete before the end of the week, I'll stop talking to them and let a lawyer taker over... Fucking bastards! Oh, and for you guys in the US, stay away from Liberty Mutual...they're as bad as Geico, which is the worse when it's time to fork out money. | |

| Pascal, if they want to total it, let them! It is easier to argue about the the value than to haggle over repairs. While you say you think the damage is only cosmetic, there may be damage that is not readily apparent. I don't think it will book for 10K, but you can try! Did you bring it to a dealer for estimates? It speeds the process along if your bike is racking up storage charges. I have been down this road a few times, unfortunately there is no such thing as a "happy accident" with a motorcycle. | |

| No, no dealer involved so no storage fees. A friend rode the bike home after the crash and it was fine according to him. Sounds good when you crank it too... I think I'll take it for a spin today and see for sure. I'm use to deal with claims since I own a body shop and I know how to play the game with them when it comes to storage and handling, the meter is running... They try to dispute my integrity as far as being at fault or not but the Bimbo that cut me off was cited and it's on the police report. I also have witnesses in my behalf so I was good from the beginning. Since I didn't impact with the bitch but avoided her car and went down anyway, they thought that I accidentally fell...riiiiiiiiight! The motorcycle abruptly went from the left lane to the middle lane for no reasons at all, leaving from a dead stop after the traffic light turned green. LOL People were cool because they blocked her car front and back so she couldn't leave the scene of the crash... Anyway, we'll see...if it's better to let it go I will, I'll get me the Rosso one if I can find one left over within acceptable distance. I know AF1 have one. Can you say "Road trip" !! | |

| Pascal, It seems you know the ropes. The insurance companies will sometimes ride rough-shod over people that don't push for just compensation. Good luck! Best, Hank | |

| Pascal, As you own a body shop, your own wide experience with insurance companies may may make my "anecdata" of little value.. Moreover, there are no doubt state-to-state, regional, and adjustor differences, along with other factors that affect reality ... comma but. Have to say that my two relatively recent experiences with Progressive have been extraordinarily positive. In late 2013, I "laid down" my GRiSO on sand in a 90-degree r/h turn. The Progressive adjuster was quick to contact me, knowledgeable about motorcycles (including Guzzis), and generous in settling the claim. He did rule it an "at fault" accident, but, on appeal, Progressive overturned that. Moreover, as a 5-year+ customer, I had "large accident" forgiveness, so even if I had been tagged with the drop, no effect on premium. Now, with my brother's crash last month, I am, if anything, even more impressed. The woman hit him on Saturday, 19 December. He had a check for $17K in his bank on Tuesday, 22 December. That was for the Norge alone, not for apparel, etc., which was settled a few days later. On the apparent theory that Michael should not have to shop around for the best bargain, Progressive just used the MG site -- [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] -- for MSRP $16,290 plus taxes, etc. to determine loss under Michael's full-replacement-cost rider for a new motorcycle. Michael had not paid near that for his last April. He, too, has been with Progressive for some time, thus, tho a "large accident," would be "forgiven" without regard to fault. That said, despite (and perhaps because of) the (near gibberish) police report that did not charge the woman who hit Michael (!), Progressive and her insurance company (State Farm) did. Both adjustors said that their experiences with Atlanta Police reports and many elsewhere were that they were "end of shift" crap. They preferred to make their own assessments, especially in cases where as worthless as this report was. As a result, Michael will not get another $500 as Progressive does not charge deductible for a "not at fault" accident. Again, YMMV, but we are believers. Best wishes on sorting yours out, Pascal. Bill P.S. Michael's present thinking for a replacement -- a dealer-driven decision as his MG dealer in Dahlonega has closed -- is this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Thanks Bill for the input. First, I am not an expert at dealing with Ins. Companies because if I was, I'd have a check by now, whether it's for repairs or towards a total loss. Instead, I can't get the bimbo in charge of my claim to not only answer her fucking phone, but returning my calls as well and the accident happened on Dec 7th! Lawyer it is then.
In my line of work, I'm forced to have some kind of knowledge with Ins. claims when I deal with collision work but this doesn't give me a wide experience really. I just know that Geico is the worst to handle claims with...they'll try to screw the customer and the body shops almost everytime, especially if you don't have a policy with them. Seems like Liberty Mutual is just as bad or maybe worse if I judge by my own experience, jeez. Never had issues with Progressive and I'm glad you had very positive experience with them. From my point of view and if you're eligible with them, USAA is the best. Not one of the best, but the best. Mostly because it's a Credit Union type of company. I'm with Amica Mutual and it's also a great company but I couldn't get a good deal with them for the bikes...

| Well, one last post on this topic. As can be seen, all is again right with the world. The new GRiSO landed on Saturday ... about frakin' time, too. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Mods and break-in have begun (good thread on-site for that). Stickers are off and work-stand bobbins installed. I'm still debating the tail-tidy. We'll see. | |
