Ralf and I have just negotiated the purchase of a wrecked Stelvio that was rollerised at 10,000 Km. cheers

Anyway, it's in Tassie but will be being bought to the mainland in a few weeks and then we have to get Roadhog to drag it up here.

Plan is to use its *Good* donk to get Ralf mobile then he can rebuild his broken lump at his leisure or part the engine out, (It has a top end kit for rollerisation. There's a grand!

Now. Obviously this will involve an engine swap out. How many AU Ghettoists would like to turn this into a weekend learning school because I'm more than happy to throw the workshop open one weekend and walk any interested parties through what is involved in major surgery.

The other nice thing is that because it's a 'Repairable write-off', something still allowed in Tassie, I can fling my old boiler of a donk in it when it's refurbished, get it tarted up and it can go back on the road.

With a bit of luck the whole sorry excercise will end up as pretty much a zero-sum game.

I hate the fact that this sort of thing is even necessary but unfortunately it is. No point in wingeing, just roll yer sleeves up and fucking get on with it!
