Hi everyone!
I am about to pull the trigger on a 2013 GRiSO with 400 miles and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to MG's and currently have a 2006 Honda 599 but look forward to owning the GRiSO. Any tips, suggestions, words of caution etc., are much appreciated. I've been trying to learn as much as I can about these bikes and want to thank everyone who shares their insights and experiences on this forum.

Welcome from us all from under, down under in Tasmania.
I've had my 06, 1100 for some 7 months now and loving it, boy am I loving it
The average age of us on this site is around 55/56, and I see that you are a young 40.
Please forgive us but we are mostly 'young' for our ages.
I am sure you will enjoy your GRiSO - red one I hope, they are faster !!!

Greetings and Congratulations on choosing The Best.
When you get your bike into a shop have them check the drive Shaft splines for lubrication. Some have been skipped. Like mine was. No catastrophe for my machine. I had it lubed and all is well.
And my bike had 6000 miles when I got it lubed.

If you like cornering the way I do drop the triple clamp down to the 6th line on the forks.

Welcome, fellow frozen tundra dweller! There's a few of us from N. Il on here, I'm about an hour SW of you, commute to the city daily. Are you buying from a private party, or dealer - if dealer, which one? There is only one (maybe 2) good dealers in IL.

Pretty sure he's getting it from Jim at RFC ... where my GRiSO is right now for "treatment."

Just noted your LaSalle location, cbxtc6.

I was through there a number of times during my pleasant exile at Rock Island.  A great tavern or two there, too.  Heck, I even remember some passable "twisties" near Starved Rock SP and elsewhere along the Illinois River.  

And, while it ain't exactly balmy out there in winter -- thus all those fine taverns -- "five months" may be a bit harsh.  I recall (possibly with more nostalgia than reality) riding up in the driftless region of SW Wisconsin in March. Hmmm.  That's still four months.

I'll be going tomorrow to see Jim over at Rose Farm Classics as Bill H. pointed out.  Saw yours there Bill...very nice looking ride you have.  I can't wait to become an official member of the family and while I may not have a chance to ride it right away due to the season, I'll sleep better knowing I am a proud owner of a GRiSO. :-)

The Arsenal is quite a place.

As for LaSalle taverns, a fellow Norgester and I stopped in here.  The "bartendress" got a good tip for posing for us, too.

Welcome and stay warm, some of my family still lives back there, DeKalb, Dixon, Pontiac, Naperville, etc, again stay warm.....

Here it is. I just have to return this Saturday to sign a couple things we forgot. Anyway, Jim was kind enough to store it in the shop until I return from my trip to Italy to visit family. :-)

Sweet , Very nice . I have a set of stucci crash bars too . The little covers on the front of them intrigue me, what are they hiding ? , Is that a mirror or a picture in the background ?

I'm a little late for purchase (lol) but they don't ugly up the bike.

Ya, that's a mirror in the background discreetly displaying the "GRiSO" name. As for the crash bars, I'm not sure what brand they are because they were already on the bike. Apparently, the guy who originally bought it had them put on but due to some personal circumstances, he had to back out of the deal so Jim threw them in for no additional charge. Now if only I could fast forward to spring..
