This morning I ordered one of these. Up till now I have been using a homemade manometer. I want to see what the balance is at throttle openings above what can be done in the shed. Anybody got any remarks about them? Cheers.

I bought one, have only used it once, this was the first time, all good, easy to hook up and use.
I consider it was a good buy.
I considered that it paid for it'self on the first use.
Cheers

I use one too and very simple to use. Good value.

I use gauges but key bit for me is I strap them to the handlebar and ride around with them connected. Play around with the big screw and small air balance to get 'in my opinion' the closest fit between the two at typical for me revs (incl tick over at lights). Also easier to do it on the road than dicking about revving the nuts of the engine in my garage and worrying about temperatures etc. So far doing it every now and then 'on-the-fly' like this seems to give me smoothest experience. and BTW I don't find it very sensitive to balance at tickover except that can end up with higher than desired revs in exchange for perfect balance - worse balance and lower revs is better for me ! Looks impressive riding with needles flying around and pipes all overplace....

that's impressive, riding the bike at 80km/h and adjust the high speed screw on each side and then the idle when at a stop light only because it's a slightly more fiddly with the Allen key Under the TB.
I like,

Ummm. That would be a really bad idea. There is only one high speed adjustment, it should be undertaken with both air bleeds closed and after it is done you need to re-calibrate the TPS.

Sometimes you blokes over-think this and often you over-think it wrong.

Not to mention: I've got an image of a crusty Moto Guzzi rider with all kinda crap strapped to the bars, doing 3000 RPM in top gear (thats what: 50mph?) , leaning over each side of the tank, twiddling screws while watching the gauges ....    Twisted Evil

Its hard enough doing that in the garage...

To be honest I do stop and get off the bike to fiddle with the balance screw and the air bleeds Very Happy. It's just that riding around with the gauges on gives good indication of balance at lots of steady-state speeds and it feels better than revving it in garage. It is true I don't do the big adjustment with air bleeds both closed though - I guess I iterate to get there...

A great bit of kit to have in the garage Charlie, just be careful that you don't let one of the rubber hoses rest on the hot exhaust like I done a few years back.  clown (nice melted hose) but they sell spares so no problem.

Morgan turned up the other day. Money well spent. However I gave myself a few uppercuts for not thinking of using capilliary tube dampers on my manometer. Cheers
