OK.
I have cranked up my rear spring and lowered my front forks from the 4th line to the 5th.
My front tire chicken strips are still a LOT bigger than my rear.
So I am thinking this means my front ride height is still too high.
I noticed wallycycle has his GRiSO down to the 6th line and I am thinking that I should do the same.

whaddya guys think? my logic is correct?

I am also thinking that if I can finish dialing in my front feel a bit better then I will quit lusting after an FZ-09.
nah. I'm hopeless.

I'm on the sixth line. My front chicken strip is massive. My rear is a few mm. I'm scraping stuff. To get a tiny strip on the front I think you will need to join the knee slider brigade and have massive Popeye arms to hurl the GRiSO low enough. Very Happy

And maybe need sliders on the jugs.  Shocked

OK.
I was thinking that maybe it was as indicator that the Suspension Tuning Guru's knew about that could guide me to wisdom without killing myself in the process.

Maybe. I hope someone can let us know. Without any deaths.  Shocked

forget lowering the front...you have to get the back up to keep the cornering clearence, and the way to do that is to increase the shock stroke

Guys, forget the chicken strips.....
We are riding on the roads and as long as there's a smile on your dial your going fast enough..
My opinion only of course. Thumbs Up

I could care less about the strips I just want folks to get their bikes handling as well as possible, and getting the back end up is mission critical.

FYI un even strips front to back mean nothing.... they are a function of geometry and the GRiSO is always going to be un matched when you are using sport tires.  going to a more sport touring tire will even it out more than ride height changes.

The reason to get the back up is to gain cornering clearence which is lost big time when you drop the triples on the forks.   Please read the front end thd.  I am working on a rear end post, and a way to remove some progressiveness from the linkage (which is really needed)

I Have found a really good re-build of a gsxr rear shock for the GRiSO which makes getting a long stroke shock easy

I agree with Beetle...
To reduce considerably or get rid of your front chicken strip, you'll need to get your knee on the ground and grind your pegs away in the process. LOL
It's a track day thing really.

I am still trying to optimize my cornering/front end feel. It's good but I think it could be better.
And I was guessing that the width of the unused side of the tire was a possible indicator for me to decide the next course of action.
I still have a bit of room to tighten up my rear spring but I am thinking a new spring/shock is the best answer in back.
So I was thinking of dropping the front a wee tad instead of maxxing out my rear.
I don't think I will do myself any evil dropping the front one more notch since I have seen wallycycle running his there.
When all else fails I can just drop the front and take it out for a careful test ride and see how it is.

Naturally I was wanting to benefit from anyone else's experience before I go out and create more problems than I solve.

Thanks for all the input.

And the DungeonMaster approved Protector Cups!!
