More Handlebar questions

Hi,

I'm considering getting some Aprilia Mana handlebars for my 2007 1100 and I've got a couple of questions.

I currently have risers on the factory handlebars and didn't have to do anything to the cables. But they're not far enough back for my liking.

If I install the Mana bars do I need new cables? How do they look? Any pictures available? I haven't been able to find a pic on Google or this site.

If I install the Mana bars do I need to remove the risers?

Rich, I used to have the same problem.

I recently got the Fast by Ferrachi 25mm risers, which look really nice, but combined with the factory bars they were not as far back as I was hoping.

I ended up going a little extreme with my next upgrade and got a set of Stelvio bars and the Rox 2" anti-vibe risers. That combination fixed things for me.

I had to lengthen the throttle cables, clutch line, the front brake lines, and the front brake switch wires. All the other controls on the left side I was able to reroute the factory lines and get the added length i needed without modification.

I ended up combining all of it together for the finished result, Feracci 25mm riser, Rox riser, and Stelvio bars. I am very happy with it now. Feels alot like adventure bike ergo's now (I also have 2" lowering foot pegs and toe pegs from Knight Design).

Ended up using Venhill throttle cable kit to make the new longer cables and Magnum BYO braided lines and banjo fittings for the new clutch and front brake lines. The front brake switch was simply solder and heat shrink an additional 5 or so inches to the factory wire.

The bike is a 2013 8V SE.
