Toning down the redheads

Got the black half covers this week and installed them.
I feel the red heads are now more in proportion to the existing red bits on the bike.

Also ducked out to Bungendore to collect some kindly offered damaged C-Bow racks to match my bags from my old V7 (the insurance wouldn't let me remove them from that bike)
Managed to get one on and will see if the Fitters at work can do something with the other side. If not then no worries, that side may eventually end up with a high Mistral anyway.

Also installed my newly purchased temp controller for my heated gloves (again, the old plug in harness is still on the old bike).
Unfortunately I failed to test it before installing and of course one of the LEDs in the 7-segment display is dead.
Off it came and now waiting on the replacement.

What is the piece of metal along the centre of the wire grill?

That's my talisman. It used to be in my right wrist after GRiSO #1 torpedoed an elk back in '08.
