Have had my eye on the black GPR muffler from Italy HERE on eBay. Has anyone ever used or heard of these units?

Yes. I've maps for a few Norge's and at least one or two GRiSO's.

I'm running one on my bike...
It's the GPE stainless model but the connecting pipe was indexed wrong for the GRiSO as it melted the turn signal by being way too close.
Also, it won't allow you to run saddle bags since it's fixed too high, so I altered the connecting pipe to clear everything.
Get the set up for a Norge and you won't have these problems.
I have a bunch of pics of this in the exhaust thread...

I have one and like it. Needed a beetle map to get the most out of it.

I have got a white one on my 1200 sport, you get two db killers with it, the inlet side killer needs to be removed as that strangles the engine on top end and acceleration, with the end killer removed standard map is too weak and it runs like a dog. So I am running currently with a modified end db killer.

I also found that the link pipe was a different size to my mistral link pipe, but right size for standard cat box.
