New Requirement When Requesting Assistance in GRiSOLOGY

YES, this is a forum nominally for GRiSO owners, but there are profound differences between models as the GRiSO has evolved from 2005 to present.

In order to facilitate accurate, applicable, and efficient responses to your questions or comments, I would ask that each of you edit/update your "signature line" to reflect your specific GRiSO model and year of manufacture. This can be accomplished by clicking on the "PROFILE" option in the Cardan Bar Menu at the top of the forum, then select the "Signature" option from the PROFILE menu. You will then find the Edit Signature window where you can enter your model information.

Note, that this is not limited to the GRiSOs only as many members here own other CARC Guzzis as well. Surely, you can list whatever other bikes you may own, but I would ask that you list your current Guzzi models first so that the helpful members here can tailor their responses based upon basic information that you may have left out of your questions/comments.

For example, listing as below would facilitate the best responses to your postings:

2007 GRiSO 1100

or

2010 GRiSO 1200 8V (Rollerized) *for those with earlier 8V GRiSOs (pre-3Q 2012) if you know your roller tappet status, list it!

or

2014 GRiSO 1200SE

or

2015 Stelvio 1200 NTX

or

2009 Stelvio 1200 8V (un-rollerized)

etc, etc...

Steve, I for one won't ignore any request for help BUT it does make my and others lives so much easier if we have a fuller knowledge of any bike that needs help.

A prime example of this is Angus Cammeron's request about a bell housing leak. While there are several leak points inside the bell housing the fact that his bike was an early model enabled me to nail the issue immediately and therefore save a lot of useless wasting of bandwidth, hair tearing and peering into crystal balls.

So please, update your sig line or at least give the model year when asking for assistance. It may help save what little hair I have left! Thumbs Up
