Hi all, been awhile but I finally released from hospital on Friday.

I received a phone call from insurance company yesterday and they have written the bike off   

The fact that I'm in a full back and neck brace for possibly the next 4 to 5 months, my main goal is recovering from the injuries

Good to see you're out. Look after yourself.

Do you think you'll replace her?

Great to hear you are now out of the hospital! I was unaware of your accident when you posted to my little crack up recently. I hope you make a full and speedy recover and I am sorry to hear about your accident!

I have a review on my neck on the 10th of July, so hopefully I'll be able to take the brace off then, I have a lot more movement in my shoulder but still along way off, but things are on the improve.

I am very glad to hear that you have been getting better Stephen. I hope the review of your neck on the 10th also shows substantial improvement! I am in a bit of empathy with you right now as my shoulder and neck are still recovering from my little spill. Has been difficult to get a good night sleep lately and mornings can be a bitch. Damn irritating. Where did my 16 year old body go?

Anyway, I just got word from the dealer today that my GRiSO will make a full recovery thanks to insurance. That should take about 3 weeks. I have the feeling I am going to be a bit skittish getting back on it but it's such a damn sexy bike. I can't just look at her all day and I know she just wants me or anyone actually to hop on and have a good old romp - she's a tramp at heart I think )!

Are you planning on replacing your bike at some point or are you holding off on that thought for a bit?

Hoping you are up and about feeling much better soon!

Finally got a clearance t return to work on Monday, it's been a long 18 weeks with still a lot of work needed to get my shoulder 100%, but I think work is the best cure for that.

You can only sit at home for so long exercising with one of those rubber bands.

After going through a very similar circumstance in recent months I hope things go well.
A word of caution though take it easy when you get back to work, based on my experience be prepared for some crap days from a physical perspective. On the up side the crap days become lest frequent.

Glad to hear the long road is finally coming to a bend.
