Thanks for the fast reply Pete.
I'm debating wether to get Peter Stevens, the Guzzi dealer, to have a look at the tappets or get some one else to do it.
The bike has a full Guzzi service history, so I'm hoping I'll only be up for the labour.

From what I've heard they just say anything pre their takeover isn't their problem. They've got rid of all the independents too and now there are only box shops.

Well, they will depend on whether people are as intimidated in this market as they are in say the UK where as far as I can make out everyone is terrified of the importer even if they contravene every consumer protection law in the book!

I find it baffling personally.

Unfortunatley they are the only Guzzzi dealer in town, so I don't have much choice.
