So today the little untraceable oil weep from the left cyl head became more of a drip.
The drip of an elderly man with bladder stones trying to force a piss. Which is helpful in placing the leak a little better, at the back upper corner.
So I figure hey loose valve cover torque. Nope. All tight. What else? Shotgun the gasket?

Would I see oil around the wire?
Clean.
The bike never moved today, was just warming it up.
So air never forced the oil backward.

???

You wouldn't see oil around the plug cap no, it would also tend to drip from the drain hole in the middle of the fins rather than out the back.

First thing would be replace the rocker cover gasket/s and tampons. If that doesn't fix it then possibly the O-ring on the breather plate?

Had a similar issue with my GRiSO after rollerization, caused by the clamp which fixes the hose on the breather cap. The oil went over the cap, gathered at the same place as seen on Your pics, then went further on around the sucking piece and ended up at the outer corner of the cylinder's fin, from where it dropped right down to the floor.

At first glimpse the clamp seemed to be ok, but it was not. I replaced it with a screw clamp for garden hoses. Maybe it could also be the oring of the cap as Pete said, I'm pretty sure the cap is the right place to begin with Your search though.

O-Ring? Check.
Gasket? Check.
Tampons? Whiskey Tango, what are they?

Does that fact that the leak is progressive say much? As in it's been getting worse.
Also, this *seems* to have started after I replaced the LH cyl head cooling oil banjo washers.
but didn't touch anyother bits, though no doubt the breather hose got wiggled around, bugger's right in the way.

Seems this is a guessing game so....since it 'appears' to be coming from the camcover joint high up...

1. Just cos the camcover bolts are tight doesn't mean the rubber gasket is in the right place or contiguous (but if you haven't removed the cover it seems unlikely place to fail)
2. Could it be a split in the breather pipe (it goes past just above where the oil appears)
3. Gasket on the breather/cam sprocket cover leaking ?

The good news is that after the first 4 litres, it shouldn't get any worse unless you top up your oil (although there may be other issues at that point) Very Happy

The 'Tampons' are the nitrile 'Washers' that go under the rocker cover bolts. 'Tampon' means 'Plug' in Italian.

It sorta means the same thing in English. Neutral

Thanks!

Just pulled the breather cap n hose. It all looks perfect. Gonna shotgun the O ring anyway. Should be able to find one locally.
Tampons? Not so much. Don’t go there!

And the rubber from the breather hose isn't it? Some years are quick to detoriate. Else clean all with breakecleaner, and see where it gets wet first.

Hose, O ring, metal, spark plug connector all impeccable, or very good at hiding their sins.

Is there evidence of oil around the spark plug? once it gets there it will either drip out through the fins below or work back through the head to emerge near the breather and intake.
