Hi,A couple of weeks ago, we took a ride to a Department of Conservation Camp ground. Inland within the South Island New Zealand.
The GRiSO does not mind getting rough. Though 2 up a bit of luggage, some nasty gravel sections. And Strong winds made for a challenging and memorable ride.
Always awesome times, and one of the last rides before the winter sets in.

Most bikes can be taken off road. In the bad old days (last century) the difference between a road bike and on off-road bike was the handlebars and tyres. These days there is a micro category for everything, if you listen to the spin doctors.
Any decent bike can be ridden off road with careful application of basic riding principals.

I must admit, I find the Sport quite a nice off-road mount if due care is taken - heavy but capable. Could do with knobbly tyres - no wait, more in the line with a motard as the tyres turn into slicks at the first bit of clay anyway.

I tried that last weekend.
Got a flat tire.
I prefer dirt roads to gravel roads.
