| Greetings I just paid for a new (14miles) 8V. Took a test ride and gave Pro Italia my Visa card. What a great bike! I have been looking at these for over a year and thought I might be able to get one two years from now. A couple of weeks ago A little old lady (yes the one from Pasadena) crashed into the back of my 1996 Buell Thunderbolt The insurance gave me an amazing amount and my wife said get the GRiSO. I ordered the case savers just to be covered. The salesman said "are you planning to drop your bike?" I said I never plan to but sometimes it happens" He said he has never dropped a bike, he is doomed to do so now. I am looking forward to many Guzzi adventures, I had the Buell for 17 years, will most likely have the Guzzi for 20.
Regards
John | |

| Welcome to the stew John. I'm pretty new to GRiSO ownership and MG in general. I love my '12 green machine. Probably see you 'round. | |

| I JUST got my GRiSO 1100 serviced there this past Weds and it is running very nice. It's not easy finding a shop that speaks GRiSO. yer pretty lucky to be that close. I live around Victorville.

| Congrats on the new Black Devil. Good idea on getting the case guards. I just replaced one of my valve covers after a drop. I'd suggest getting a CARC guard too.
See ya at the Rockstore some day.

See ya at the Rockstore some day. Yes, I also ordered the CARC guard. All bikes fall over, its that gravity thing...

| Just a word of warning on the CARC guards. The bar type ones mount on the brake mounting bosses. In the event of a drop they may protect the outside of the casting but the force will be transmitted to the bosses and may crack them off. Be aware of that. Given that its more un sprung weight on an already heavy component I don't bother with one.
