Been doing some measuring on some parts I have laying about, (do not have enough to check everything)  But I do have an aluminium flywheel and most of a twin plate clutch assy.  and am thinking it may work in an 8v with a six speed with a little creative machine work, was really looking to paul and pete (not the airplane) to get their thoughts...anybody seen a critter done this way any place?

ps yea it will be heavier, and there are some down sides, but some ups to

Only serious problem I can see would be adapting the input boss to fit on the input shaft. The other issue would be that you would then loose any sort of Cush in the driveline apart from the bonded rubber coupling in the driveshaft.

Having said that if you're determined to inflict this sort of misery on yourself I have a Breva 11 box complete but in bits/partially assembled that I'd happily swap. It would need puting together and painting but apart from that....

Oh, if you want to use a twin plater make sure that at the very least its a ten spring unit otherwise I'd be concerned about how well it would cope.

Pete

not devoted to the idea, just ran across a box of parts for my rosso, that had a 10 spring alloy fly wheel in it.  and was thinking outloud.  (I got a lot of stuff as spares with the rosso)

very true about the cush...had not really thought that far yet was just lookin in boxes at parts so far, The twins did seem to slip and wear a bit

I started drawing up a cable clutch conversion for the 8v though that is looking pretty good...going to be some work do make though.

well center is completely different so without a lot of work I don't see it happen. So expensive aren't the new clutches.
