Given that many major parts, including the cylinder heads, are NLA I think not. The video is of a flat tappet motor as well. Put simply it's a video from 15 years ago.

Maybe MG Canada haven't bothered updating their website - UK or even MG.com have updated to current models

Exactly, outdated website. Old stock of the GRiSO and California models was longer available in the US and Canada.
