Strange grating and click from Carc

Just noticed my GRiSO makes a strange grating noise with a regular sort of click from the shaft drive whenever I roll the bike backwards, doesn't do it when I roll it forwards. Checked for anything caught in the tyre and caliper etc., which is all fine, seems to be from the carc itself, also checked oil level and all is well.

Any ideas ?

Mine does it too... I think it's the brake pads.

I like to do my troubleshooting with the Easiest/Cheapest point first.
Check the brake pads.
And/or some kind of "stethoscope" device attached to the Point of Concern running up to your ear and listen for aforementioned clunking.
Which won't be exactly easy for checking something as you roll your bike back but hey, maybe you'll get a brainstorm.

Found it !

A sticky label was on the inside of the Carc rubbing against the disk. Could only see it with a pen light and was in the most inaccessible spot possible. Got enough off to stop the noise, would have sworn it was a mechanical noise. Anyway, no need to catastrophise about my Carc exploding any more....

I vaguely recall having a click too (maybe a year ago) and it was also a sticky label that was had to get at.

Great news!!! I was just noticing this too. I back my bike into the garage right next to an old fridge. The first few times I heard this noise, I paused my backward roll and pressed on the refrigerator door, thinking that it was condensation being sucked in through a bad seal on the door, of course as soon as I pressed on the door the noise stopped, so it must be the fridge. Of course at the time I didn't really think about it being the bike or the fact that I had stopped rolling backwards at the exact same time that I was pushing on the fridge door. Anyway, not the fridge. I had a few people look and listen while rolling backwards, they all heard it too, but had no idea what if could be. I am now on my way to the garage to look for the mysterious sticker.
