Afternoon All, Just had my 2012 GRiSO 1200SE (factory roller bearing tappets) delivered and I'm very happy to back on an Italian bike, especially a Guzzi! My last Guzzi was a new 1100 Breva a good few years ago and I've missed the essence of riding one.
This one is a keeper as she's a gorgeous, low mileage, never seen rain bike.
Very nice. I appreciate the "trad" of spoke wheels

Congrats with your VERY shiny new GRiSO. I like the few tasteful mods like the exhaust and the rear wheel hugger.

That’s a lovely GRiSO! It looks perfectly unmolested. You’ve found the right place to learn everything you need to know.

They are nice, aren't they? Guzzi really pushed the boat out, as the the spokes are individually sealed to the rims with tiny circlips, allowing tubeless tyres to be used. Makes you wonder why they didn't launch the V7 Special with tubeless spoked tyres too, seeing as it arrived very soon after the V850TT went tubeless too?

Thanks Bioman, it's always nice when someone else has paid for the mods and they're tasteful. I have the original end can too - it's very heavy!

TY! I made the classic noob mistake of spelling GRiSO incorrectly in my post, but at least I'm not new to Guzzis or Italian bikes!

TYVM! It is unmolested, as was the GSX1400 I just sold to make room - that's how I like them, as standard as can be, apart from maybe a few tasteful mods. I plan to learn a lot and hopefully not ask dumb questions!

Fortunately the owners / parts and shop manuals can all be printed from online sources for free. Helps with the "mugging"
As for dumb questions , no worries, I`ll take the lead on that one.
Nice ride , congratulations !

Have you checked or did it come with proof as not all 2012 Black Devils were created equal?
Welcome, personally think the Black Devil is almost every new GRiSO owners wet dream, at least until you've been here a while and learn lots of what you need to know Once you realise its just an expensive paint job and that year of manufacture makes absolutely no difference. Except Factory Rollerisation. The grass is greenest on the side that receives the most non dealer maintenance/interference. That what you can know and learn from the Ghetto far exceeds what they think they know.

No dumb questions. Dumb answers they be aplenty, even here, sometimes. I might be guilty of one or two as well.

Hi all, greetings from the far north of Scotland! Finally scratched the itch and got a GRiSO, I've already passed 1k miles on it and it's only just spring here! I must ask though, what stands do people use? I would like to make one- does anyone know of a basic drawing and dimensions?

Welcome though believe your hijacking anothers thread A commonly used stand is the Becker though requires modification of your lowest side frame bolts for the best fitting. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Gutsibits used to sell stands but from a quick search it seems now they sell nothing.
Am sure others will be along to help you create a wooden version for free: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
