Just removed exhaust from my 10,000 mile 2014 GRiSO for polishing. Expecting to have to replace the gaskets at exhaust port but they seem well fixed in the head. Any suggestions on how to remove, or is it not really necessary to replace? Exhaust has well molten supermarket shopping bag on left side which I hope will come out with machine polish! TIA for any advice.

Bring the bike up to operating temperture and spray "EASY OFF" oven cleaner on the area with the bag, then lightly wipe it with some gloves and fine steel wool it will slide right off. Take care NOT to get it on any painted areas of the bike.
Use an mechanics L shaped mechanics pick to dig the gasket's out

Thanks. Exhausts now off and ready for a good polishing this weekend. Ill look for a pick and see if that eases the old gaskets out.
