Hello all
Getting a GRiSO on Saturday, will be popping in quite regularly, been riding bikes since 1976, love all bikes, saw my first GRiSO about a month ago and fell in love with the looks, don’t really know why I haven’t seen one before, mine is the 1200 4 valve, 6000 miles, my first question is has anybody lowered the seat ? If so how much by?
Thanks

Welcome, 76 is when I started riding Guzzi's. I liked the Cenauro look & the GRiSO is just a bit more of that look.
What year GRiSO? Be aware of the roller tappet issue on the earlier 8V's. Ride Safe.

My new to me bike has been rollerised which is good, I’m now getting my hands on it on Friday instead of Saturday. Can’t ride yet, it’s a very long story. Will keep up on the physio hope be good to go by the spring, I also have a new bsa in the garage waiting for its turn to be ridden, the GRiSO is going to be polished to within an inch of its life

Welcome.....many people lower the pegs as their problem is knee angle (so lowering seat is generally worse) & seat is already lowish with std suspension at rear. Would be easy to have foam shaved & recovered if you want lower though ....

Yes I was thinking about getting the seat lowered a tad. But I don’t want to ruin the looks,

PostSubject: Mapping   New member Icon_minitime1Thu Nov 23, 2023 10:33 am

Me again. I have been reading posts with some interest. Is there any way I can tell if the bike has been remapped at any time in its life? I have been reading about the beatle mapping I am quite intrigued by this upgrade I watched a vid on you tube about a guy that did the remap. I am useless when it comes to computers. Also is there anyone in the uk that knows where I could get this done in the Devon area, I realise if will have to buy the map, does any one know the process of getting hold of the map etc. by the way my bike is a 2012 model
Thanks in advance

First thing is to check the bike hasn't got Power commander or any Lambda fooling junk on it (or a 'high efficiency air filter').

Then, with Lonelec cables you (or nearby GRiSO/Stelvio/Norge etc owner) can just read the current map using Guzzidiag software (and/or READ it to laptop memory using IAWReader software - also from guzzidiag website). ECU and map appear on the main screen of Guzzidiag. Here's my very old and original 2230G801 map - you will have a more recent factory map (likely saying 2230G803) OR already have a Beetle map OR something else.

Either way there are loads of people here who can help identify the map you have from Guzzidiag view or the txt file when you READ it to your laptop !

BTW what exhaust are you running ?

Then with this plus based on how well it rides you can decide if you need to change map...

Have you worked out if it's a roller or flat tappet motor yet?

(Edit.) Sorry, you covered that.
