Hey gang, as the title states - going to look at a '13 1200 8V - apparently, with factory-issued roller tappets.
Anything in particular I should be looking out for and be aware of?
Thanks!

Check out the adjusting screws on the throttle bodies, the ones that the factory seals in yellow paint, if those seals are broken and it looks like those screws have been turned..I'd forget it and move on. or if the Air box has been removed or altered..Me myself? I'd forget it as well. Their is always another "deal" Good luck!

The main issues have been covered many times. A lot of the problems are caused by people not knowing or understanding how to tune them. That includes ‘Dealers’ and ‘Mechanics’ who should!
If it’s a roller motor, and as a ‘13 it should be, the main things to address will be swingarm bearings and shock linkage bearings, the sump spacer gasket and Loctiting the pinion nut in the bevelbox. At this age, regardless of miles, an alternator belt would probably be a wise investment as well.
As I said, all this has been covered a zillion times before, search the individual items and all should become clear. If it doesn’t? Ask supplementary questions.

Searching “Sacred Screw” will help you understand the comment about yellow paint.
I think that most everything is recoverable in one way or another. Sometimes it can get a little spendy, offsetting a good deal.
