Greetings all
Regardless of the brand of rear shock you have, the best spring to use is based on lots of factors weight, usage, pillion, comfort, road surface etc.
I'm keen to address my shock soon and would like feedback on the springs you have chosen and their spring rates.
Did you get the right spring? If you had the $$ and time again which would you choose?
Adios

GRiSO shock I had modded and fitted to Bella has Ohlins spring # 01095-39/110 L0811
Linear and I think 11kg/mm. Gave up looking on google to confirm.

I ride solo at 100kg battle dress, but my bike was only 217kg with full fuel tank.
It was a little stiff, now have 10.5kg spring on the Matris. Bike is now 209kg.

Cheers Wayne.
I appreciate the feedback.
Having seen your youtube clip, I also have a reasonable idea of how you pedal your bike. Very Happy

Pedal, did you say pedal? Andy, he's got a hurry handle and he's always in a hurry to use it...

No no, you guys got me all wrong.
Bella's got the least amount of horsepoopower of any of the big block Guzzi's.
It also has a very loud exhaust, so you will hear me loooooooong before you see me.

Tight twisties I like doing the flip flop flamingo, no chance of tripping the light fantastic (rev limiter) there. Think of WRC, straights are just transport stages to me, corners are "special stages".

Transport stages are the haven of our mobile tax collectors, I'll be seen cruising there.

Thats a philosophy I try to adhere to as well. Curves are definitely the fun zone, and straights the danger zone.
Around these parts there aren't many straights, its all corners and bends (140 curves to the next town south 30km away).
Its the Saturday run of choice for many city bikers looking to scratch an itch.
On a big day they number well over the hundred mark.

Andy, wish I had your problem. Only curves I get are highway on ramps.

Lake Shore Drive has at least 4! Lower Wacker has some - just watch out for the support columns. Smile
