Fully subscrib to that... This forum and people like Pete, Mark and others are the only hope for guys like me that, for some reason , love these bikes. MG should recognize the role of this forum in the survival on the brand, considering the support they provide, on my country for example.

Agreed, there is no way I would own a Guzzi without this forum. And it's people and its endless library of information have saved me thousands...

Hi everyone,
Just to give some closure here. I bought a second hand gearbox in the net in very good condition (better than the one I had before) and the bike is all together again and running

Happy to hear that, so, did the wrench buy the box? Just wondering how the story went, those 6sp boxes are very good compared to what we've had in the past. Enjoy that GRiSO.

Hi Steve,
He assumed he messed up. He wanted to open the gearbox to repair it but, taking in account all that happened until then I didn't wanted to take that risk... He seemed to be an honest guy, but definetely not the best mechanic... I just wanted to take the bike out of there as fast as possible... He told me that, once I paid the gearbox, he would support with the workshop costs....But I ended up giving him some money....for being honest I guess...man, you cannot imagine how happy I was when I finally saw that bike all together again and working
