Argh, oil leak! Empty

Found an oil leak tonight and have no idea how long it's been there.  Checked the oil (boy does the dipstick leave a bit to be desired...aftermarket options?) and it seems to be okay.  I'm pretty sure it's under warranty for another month so I'm going to sneak it into AF1 for a service.  Took this picture right up underneath the forks while trying to avoid burning my hands on the headers.  Anyone see this before?  Think it's okay to take it for a good hill country spin Wednesday afternoon before dropping it off for service or am I about to blow a hose?

IIRC the blow-by breather box is up behind the ECU. You may have a bad connection or split hose. Also may have a blocked drain and the box is full.

Think it's okay to run it for another ride before getting it fixed?

If it is just the breather box then yes.

I'm told the unreadable dipstick is an essential part of the Guzzi experience. Razz
I too was expecting a sight glass.  But I settled for one of these instead:

Big improvement.

For another $40, you can get one that tells you the oil temp too, but if you're like me, you wouldn't know what to do with that information anyway. Pillage!

A no co$t method is after your next oil change when you know you have the correct amount of oil in your sump, simply pull the dipstick when the bike is on the side stand, clean it, pop it back in and pull it out. Where the oil level is, mark the stick. Voila! You'll always have an exact indication.

I reckon the hose that's got a leak is the drain back into the sump. Item 8.
