| I'm not fond of the little black rear fender, particularly that little tail that protrudes to illuminate the license tag. But I realize that it's there partly to keep water and other road muck from being flung on the backs of rider or passenger. Has that been a problem for those of you who have disposed of your fenders? | |

| I had the fender eliminator on my 1100s and it made a road grimy mess of the pillion seat and the back on my jacket on rainy days. Also, I'd had several comments regarding the throwing of rocks and gravel into my rearward riding companions.
I've left the rear end stock on my 1200 and have been perfectly happy with both the appearance and function. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special

| I guess it's one of those form vs. function dilemmas. Looks much better without it, in my opinion. But then sometimes you get caught in the rain, even in SoCal. | |

| Next thing you know, it will be trendy to remove the front fender. | |

| I quite like the front fender. It's simple and pleasing to my eye. GRiSO would look positively weird without it. But the little black one in back is an unsightly afterthought to my eye. A wart on an otherwise lovely rear end. | |

| I think the GRiSO rear fender is actually one of the better-looking ones. I don't mind it. | |

| Hey CC, that photo was just a shit stir. Only got ridden round the car park like that. As for Harleys without a front brake, great. All we need now is a fast stopping 18 wheeler (in front). |

| Does anyone know where to source a fender eliminator kit? I don't plan on riding my GRiSO in the rain so I think it'll be a non-issue: I had a Buell with an eliminator and it didn't affect me, didn't ride it in the rain though. | |

| The blokes that made mine closed down but there are plenty of options I'm sure. A bit of bent plate will work but ugly as a hat full of farty arseholes. I always failed 'Styling' though which why I tend to buy cosmetic shit off cool, beardy people, (And regret it.) or half way sensible people with a degree of taste and style, (Who are usually expensive but it's better than riding around on something that looks like it's recovering from a hysterectomy.).
Try Guzzitech. I'm sure Todd will offer something.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I have that one. It wasn't that great. I had to drill out the left hand bracket to be able to pass the turn signal connector through it. It is 'taller' than the AZ plate so it sticks out about .75-1 inch below the plate. Finally, I was not able to get it to fit with the stock plate light, so I bought an LED license plate frame. YMMV.

| I bought the one from Guzzitech and the built in LED lit license plate frame.
All good | |

| Thanks for the options, guys, I'll go with the Guzzitech and see what happens. But first, my bike has to get here, on a truck heading to me right now. | |
