So the last few times I rode the GrisoFromHell, it was giving me turn signal failure idiot lights.
But they were fine.
And then the last time I rode it, yep, a turn signal actually stopped working.
Today I was just giving it a dusting and a charge, about to pull what I figured had to be a bad bulb, so
I tested the signals....and they're all fine.

Anyone run into this? Likely culprit(s) and fixes?

Were you a bad man in an earlier life?  You have been beset by way more issues than the get-even gods should inflict on a mortal.

Have your rough-running woes been resolved?

In Atlanta this week, but back next.  You need to take a run out our way some time.  Well, after the Big Thaw.  But ensure your towing plan is up-to-date.  Sad

Seriously, it is a shame that such a good-looking and (for most of us, an almost boringly reliable Guzzi model) has been such a PITA for you.

Bill

Am a bad man now! And if anything intend to get worse.

Yeah buddy, Tocino met me in Clifton during Bikes n' Breakfast, hooked it up to a laptop and mainlined it a new map. Instantly improved the bike by a substantial, noticeable margin. Not nirvana, but a world apart from what it was when I first got it. Thanks Tocino!

First warm weekend in March/April, I'll be out.
Really want the valvetrain looked at too, and it'd be nice to be introduced by you.

Also let me know when you'll be around here again.
Be nice to shoot the breeze.

The dud lamp warnings will almost certainly be the connectors to the loom. On the end of the wires from the indicators there are little two pin male/female plugs. The juxtaposition of the male and female ends is changed from left to right so you can't mount them arse-about. That's by the by though what is relevant is that their connectors and their pins are crap and it is these that almost invariably cause the problem you are experiencing.

Best way to deal with it would probably be to snip them off and replace them but simply separating them and giving the pins a bit of a bend to help ensure a better contact worked for me. On my bike it was always the rear ones that caused problems and these connectors are in the tailpiece and are a right frontbottom to get to. Worth it though as the problem is very irritating!

Pete's right,
My 09 did that and it was the connectors acting up.
I got tired of messing with it and replaced them with some I picked up at a Radioshack store.
Solved that issue. Thumbs Up

As usual, Mr. Roper amuses as he educates. Many thanks. You didn't take any pics of that backtofront
Did you?
