Good Day, finally decided to proactive and replace the fuel filter and hoses , clamps in the tank this winter , also the connectors/ fittings for the gaslines to the tank .
if there is any aftermarket or better quality than stock.... part numbers available for this and i assume there are , i would very much appreciate a heads up.
Thank you for any help in this

GRiSO 1100 parts Fuel Tank Empty

Easy peasy. The emptier the tank the better off you will be. Before you remove the tank unplug the electrical connecter and start the motor. It will stop when it runs out of fuel, which wil releive the peessure in the fuel lines, making the quick connect connecter easy to operate. Remove the panel the pump is mounted on and note where the bits go and remove and replace them. The fuel line needs to be rated for high pressure and constant submersion. The clamps you can get from Pirtek or hydraulic/automotive shop, they are called Cobra clamps and are reusable. Do not use worm type hose clamps. Getting the pump/filter assy out and in can be a bit trucky just take your time. Its much easier on a GRiSO than say an older Cali etc.Use OEM filter. There is no need to overtighten the panel mont screws, they screw into plastic and it has a substantial rubber gasket. Cheers.

Keener, Before you remove the quick connect fuel line, give a little spray of WD40 - dry plastic doesn't like to move freely.

Keener, I realise my question will expose my near-total technical ignorance, but can you tell me WHY you will do this? In other words: is that something that I, as fellow G1100 owner, should also consider doing?

there is a problem potentially of the filter coming loose from the fuel line or the fuel lines from the pump , this causes the bike to stop running as to no fuel delivery to the throttle bodies ...from what i have read you can see bubbles or swirling in the gas when looking through the filler neck(full tank) , a sign of impending separation ...
Not sure if the 1200 has this issue but i think it wise to check it out for the 1100 ...
there is probably a thread on this here somewhere scratch
