I have mounted an Öhlins TTX 36 shock and a Millepercento Fender/Mud guard.
Expensive but really excellent products which I can really recommend.

I have just uploaded a slideshow to my YouTube channel showing the whole procedure:

Just beautiful, I found it mesmerising. Can't wait to get back home to my 1200 Sport.

WOW! Talk about Bike Porn! Beautiful work, Jan. I've been told my shop is neat and clean, but yours is on par with only the finest surgical theater. Bravo! Ghetto Cred +1!

Wow!!!! Great video production and a top job on the swing arm lube and new shock installation. Hope they give you some ghetto credit points for this Jan.

Thank you for posting.

sunny  Thank you guys! My garage does not look so tidy all the time and I have cleaned the bike and polished the exhaust system a lot before taking these photos.

The MPC mud guard is maybe a bit more expensive than other solutions on the market but it is so well-thought-out. The CARC bikes should have had such a mud guard as standard.

The Öhlins TTX 36 shock (configured for the driver by DÄS Mototec) really makes a difference. The streets here in northern Germany are often really bad (we call it "rag rugs"). With the Öhlins evering is much smoother, the shock almost elimates everything.

^^^^^

As I also mentioned over on the V11Lemans forum, great work.

As for mudguard -- tho I do have a Skidmarx fitted -- I have found this to be more effective in keeping road stuff off the shock.

I just pulled the HyperPro off my Norge for rebuilding, and it was remarkably clean.

Thanks Bill! I have also used a Traxxion shock sock with the original shock.
After 6208 km Smile the shock looks like new:
