Hi Guys. Currently have my CARC off pending repair. In the meantime my very good mate Gregg F has secured a Stelvio shock and had it restored for me. I am having an issue getting the old shock out. The top and bottom bolts have been removed. However' I am unable to coax the shock out. In my old GRiSO 850 the shock removal/replacement was very straight forward. Do I have to drop the swing arm to get the shock out on a GRiSO 1100?

No, it should drop out the bottom

Have you ever greased the swingarm bearings? If not now is the ideal time for that and the shock linkage. Once the swingarm is off the shock is a piece of piss.

Yep did it six months ago Peter-just in time too. The grease had a consistency of pentrene>
